Maharabali, abbot of the Georgian monastery of the Holy Cross and his monastic community record that they have purchased a vineyard called al-Qatamun from Jirjis ibn Abu l-Muna ibn B_m_b_l_h ( ?), his brother Abu l-Majd and his mother Samus for 33 besants [royal gold dinars of full weight], half of which, coming to 16 and a half besants, is provided as a down payment and the rest is promised. The vineyard stretches to the north as far as the .... of the Hospital and on the south as far as the Hospital. It is bordered on the west by the vendors’ property, on the east by the garden [fruit-bearing land] of Abbot Maharabali and his monks of the Georgian monastery of the Holy Cross. The charter was written by Ishaq ibn.... with the acknowledgement of Abu l-Majd and Gabriel, a priest of the monastery. Witnessing signatories: Anastasis; Salam, the son of the priest Mufarrij.
