R. episcopus Tripolitanus informs King Louis VIII of France that Thomas constabularius Tripolis, the son of the late Girardus de Hanis, a subject of the king of France, and Beatrix his wife came into his presence and that of his chapter. Beatrix made over to Thomas and to his son Girardus whatever dowery rights [jus quodcumque ad eam spectabat nomine dotalicii] the late Girardus, the father of Thomas, had in the land and feudum in France.
