text: Dec. 13. Jerusalem. Baldwin, per dei gratiam in sancta civitate Ierusalem Latinorum rex sextus, records under seal that in his presence and in his curia Balduinus Ramarum domnus had made an eleemosynary grant [masking a sale] to the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem and Iosbertus magister Hospitalis, remitting for ever the census of 200 besants a year, which they had paid him for the casale called Sancta Maria. In return Iosbertus magister and the brothers of the chapter of the Hospital had given Balduinus in charity [caritative] 1700 Saracen besants. Witnesses: Odo magister Templi; frater Berengarius Templi senescalcus; Raimundus comes Tripolitanus; Heinfridus constabularius; Balianus de Hibelino; Aimericus de Lisenian; Petrus de Cresecca; Anselmus de Pas; Atto de Marla; Roardus de Ioppe; Amalricus de Cesarea; Robertus de Pinkeni. The charter was drawn up by Guillelmus Tyrensis et Nazarenus archidiaconus regisque cancellarius.
