Raymond, gracia Dei Sancti Egidii comes et Provincię marchio, prince[p]s autem, Deo auxiliante, milicie Christiane in Jerosolimitano itinere, considering his sinfulness and the very small size of his Christian force, pro diversis excessibus imbecillitatem, and in recognition of the services of Richardus sancte Romane ecclesie cardinalis et Massiliensis abbas, makes an eleemosynary grant to the abbey of St Victor of Marseille, giving, in return for the service of prayer, half of the fortified city of Gibellet, between Tripoli and Beirut, and all its appurtenances, at sea as by land, and in the port, together with the right of shipwreck. The gift is confirmed by Willelmus, Arvernensis comes; Biterrensis vicecomes B.; reverentissimus Aicardus Massiliensis [(archi)episcopus]; Narbonensis Berengarius [vicecomes], Raymond’s comilitones et consules. text: Jan. 31. Mont Pèlerin. On his deathbed, Count Raymond of St Gilles recognizes that he has treated the church of Arles unjustly. He restores lands, properties and rights in his European dominions. He asks that Bertrannus [his son] and all his successors abide by this testament. Witnesses: Aiminus Tolonensis ecclesie episcopus; Aicardus de Massilia; Raimundus de Balcio; Decanus de Poscheriis; Bertrannus Porcelletus; Villelmus Arvei; Pontius de Fos; Rostagnus de Port. Confirmed by: Gervila comitissa; Adefonsus filius eius. Poncius de Brosio wrote the charter.

text: 1103 – Feb. 28 1105. At the request of the late Johannes filius et canonicus ecclesię Sancti Sepulcri, Raymond [of St Gilles], comes atque christianᶒ militiᶒ excellentissimus princeps in partibus Syriᶒ makes an eleemosynary gift to the church of the Holy Sepulchre of a house on Mont Pèlerin, which had been a mosque [que domus antiquo tempore immundis paganorum supersticionibus dedita fuerit]. It is to be converted into a church. At the request of Johannes, Raymond also gives the church of the Holy Sepulchre the church of Sanctus Georgius quę est in montanis, in the presence of Decanus de Poscheriis; capellanus suus Pons de Grilione; Rostagnus de Port; and Bernardus prior de Bethleem. Raymond further promises that once the city of Tripoli is in his hands he will give the church of the Holy Sepulchre the next best church in the city after the principal one, together with revenues sufficient to support 13 clergy [clerici] in residence.
