text: Jan. 1-31. Bohemond, per la grace de deu prince d’Antioche et coms de Triple, makes a sealed eleemosynary grant to frere Hermant, honorable maistre de la sancta maison de nostre dame de l’hospitau des Alamans, his convent and brothers. He gives a mill outside the walls of Antioch, situated on the river fer, below the patriarch’s mill, which he had bought and repaired. The mill has 3 millstones [peires] and the Hospital of St Mary of Germans has licence to install a fourth. The mill’s dependencies include a fishery [pescherie]. Bohemond adds the gift of a vineyard, which he had planted near the mill, and the winepress [pressoir] in it. Bohemond, per la grace de deus prince de Antioche et conte de Triple, makes a sealed eleemosynary grant to freire Hermant maestre de la chavalarie de la sainte maison de Nostre dame de l’hospital des Alamans and his brothers, to further the work on the castle they are building in support of Christianity against the Sarrazins. He gives the Hospital of St Mary of the Germans an annual rent of 100 besants en assisa, payable in 3-monthly instalments and assigned on his asize on the fonde and the chaene of Acre. text: Oct. 27. Acre. In the patriarch’s palatium. Patriarch Gerold of Jerusalem, the papal legate, records under seal an agreement reached in his presence between the magister and brothers of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem and Bohemond, princeps Antiochenus et comes Tripolitanus. The Hospital of St John surrenders all gifts and freedoms granted to it by Prince Raymond Roupen in the city of Antioch and its lordship, except for the city of Gabulum and castrum Vetule. It renounces its rights to all privileges granted by Raymond Roupen and all its claims against Bohemond. In return, Prince Bohemond gives the Hospital of St John an annual rent of 316 besants of Tripoli [bisantii Tripolitani], to be drawn on the revenues of Tripoli, together with an eleemosynary grant of an annual rent of 873 besants of Antioch [bisantii Antiocheni], to be drawn on the revenues of the city of Antioch. He renounces all his disputes with the Hospital of St John.

He gives a rent [en assize] of 873 besants of Antioch [bisanz d’Antioche], to be drawn each year on the comerc d’Antioche, or the tanarie, or the fonde del vin, or the pecherie, or on all his revenues in the lordship of Antioch.
