text: Oct. 8. Anagni. Jordanus Tripolitanus canonicus has informed the pope of the procedure for electing a new bishop of Tripoli. The canons had delegated the duty to 3 of their number, who had chosen Albertus cantor Antiochenus. This was confirmed by the patriarch of Antioch in spite of the simony involved. Pope Innocent IV orders the bishop of Tiberias, frater Arnardus prior domus milicie Templi in Accon and magister Egidius de Rocca canonicus Antiochenus to investigate and report to the Holy See.
