text: Dec. 18. In the presence of domnus Roardus castellanus Jerusalem, his socer, and other probi vires whose names are [in the list of witnesses], Balduinus dominus casalis Sancti Egidii, together with his wife Stephania, assents to the purchase made by domnus Petrus and the canons of the Holy Sepulchre of the houses, buildings and vineyard acquired by the abbot and monks of Mt Tabor, as much from gifts by his ancestors as by purchase and other means. The canons of the Holy Sepulchre will hold these with the same freedom [francicia et libertas] as did the monks of Mt Tabor. Balduinus abandons his dispute with the canons over a house that they already possessed in the casale. This charter is reproduced in duplicate, with Balduinus and canons each keeping a copy.
