text: Apr. 2. Tiberias? Galterus/Galterius princeps Galilee records under seal that Fulco conestabilis Thabarie and Paganus de Caypha came to his curia and with his consent made the following agreement. Paganus gave Fulco the following: Gybesovart, Due Gobie, Mogar, Gatregalee, Galafiee, Romane, Sellem and all the other land he held of Galterus. Fulco gave Paganus an annual rent of 850 Saracen besants, made up of 500 Saracen besants drawn annually from the meat market [macellum] of Acre, given by King Amalric to Fulco in return for the surrender of his castrum of Saphet which Amalric gave in an eleemosynary grant to the Templars [milicia Templi], and 350 besants from the rent of 700 Saracen besants paid each year to Fulco by the Templars for the building [sartus] he had he had given them. In return for the 850 Saracen besants, Paganus de Caypha will continue to provide the service of 1 miles that he rendered for the above named casalia every time there will be war on the frontiers with the Sarraceni and Galterus requires it. This agreement was made in the presence and with the agreement of King Amalric, and with the agreement of Galterus princeps Galilee and his wife E[schiva]. On behalf of his heirs, Galterus guarantees to Paganus de Caypha that any short fall in the 850 Saracen besants will be made up from the revenues of Legio.
