text: Jan. 31. Acre. Mindful of the restricted nature of the space occupied in Acre by the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem and the present location of its offices outside religious enclosure, Guy, per dei gratiam in sancta civitate Ierusalem Latinorum rex VIIIus, makes a sealed eleemosynary grant, to benefit especially the soul of the Lady Queen Sibylla and all his royal predecessors. He gives frater Guarnerius domus Hospitalis Ierusalem magister, his brothers and the sick poor the street and road [strata et via] that stretch from the Gate of St John to the Gate of Mary and below the volta over which rises the stair of the tower, so that the Order can expand its courtyard [platea curie].
