Baldwin, dei gratia Latinorum rex sextus in sancta civitate Iherusalem, confirms that he has added 400 besants to the 1,000 besants he has already given Petrus de Cresequa in assisia for his lifetime, drawn from the revenues [redditus] of Daronum, which is recognized to be royal domain [de pertinentiis Iherusalem]. text: Apr. 1. Jerusalem. Baldwin, per dei gratiam in sancta civitate Ierusalem Latinorum rex sextus, gives under seal to Petrus de Creseca in assisia and in augmentation of his feodum 30 quintaria of the grapes harvested [vindemia] in the territories of Bethecartal and Ramessa and in the guastina called in Arabic [lingua Sarracenica] Theire and in Latin Casale Gaufridi de Portu. The grapes will be collected from the royal cellarium in Jerusalem. If the king should alienate the casalia, any future possessor of the land will be obliged to deliver the grapes to the house of Petrus in Jerusalem. This rent in grapes will be exempt from any servitium other than to the king [regia maiestas]. Witnesses: Rainaldus abbas Montis Syon; Balianus castellanus Ierusalem; Willelmus Patrun; Willelmus Beraldus; Iohannes Bricii; Radulfus Raimundi; Willelmus Pontii; Symon judex; Galterius Malpini.
