text: Dec. 25 1137 –Aug. 31 1138. In the presence of Patriarch William of Jerusalem, who seals the charter, Riso, capellanus to Bohemond I and Bohemond II of Antioch, gives the canons of the Holy Sepulchre his houses with an apple orchard [pomerium], which he had bought from Willelmus medicus for 64 besants. They are to hold it under the same terms as he held it from Bohemond II. The houses are situated next to those of Pontius Antiocheni thesaurarius on the other side of the public way [via publica]. Riso reserves for himself one camera, to provide a small living place [habitaculum] for his servus, whom he has had baptized, for as long as he lives and serves him faithfully. He surrenders the charter from Bohemond granting him the houses. Witnesses: from the patriarch’s clergy, Humbertus capellanus; Amelius diaconus; Balduinus cancellarius; Johannes and several others.
