text: 1155 - 1159. A. prior and the canons of the Holy Sepulchre receive Balduinus de Tornaco into confraternity, and promise to give him a prebenda, drawn on [the revenues of] either Jerusalem or Mahumeria and payable at Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, the feast of St Augustine and the feast of All Saints. Balduinus renounces claims he had unjustly made against the Holy Sepulchre over the inheritance of his brother Robertus Porcarius. He wills to the Holy Sepulchre that after his death the canons should have the quartus et decima of the vineyard, which is on the land [he has inherited from] R. Porcarius, consisting of 6 jugera, and the terraticum et decima of his vineyard next to Gabaon, although he can give or sell the vineyard to whomsoever he pleases.

Josbertus [Hospitalis Jerusalem] humilis minister, with the consent of all his chapter, gives under seal, by the hand of frater Bernardus magister [asinarie], a house and the empty land next to it in the curtilium called Belveer in Jerusalem to [Ar]ionus Jacobinus for the annual rent of 4….., payable on the Feast of St John the Baptist. If Arion [or his heirs] wish to build on it and sell it, the Hospital will have pre-emption rights, receiving 1 besant less than the asking price. If the Hospital agrees to a sale, the property can be sold to anyone except churches or milites. Arion leaves a third part of his property to the Hospital on his death.
