text: Dec. 25 1128 - Aug. 31 1129. Willelmus prior Dominici Sepulcri records under seal that he has bought a vineyard with the land around it from Petrus de Sancto Gauter, his wife and son for 140 besants, drawn from the alms fund, which is held for the needs of the poor. The vineyard is situated just outside Mahumeria when one approaches from Jerusalem along the left hand valley [in sinistrale convalle]. The property had been free from encumbrances, except for the tithe levied by the Holy Sepulchre, which had been remitted. Witnesses: Goisbertus prepositus; Aimericus helemosinarius; Petrus Clementis; Anselmus capellanus Mahumerie; Gaufridus Acus; Petrus de Joppen; Petrus Guitart; Bernardus, married to the daughter of Petrus de Sancto Gauter; Rogerius Lombart. The charter is confirmed by: Petrus de Sancto Gauter, the vendor; Audeartz his wife; Andreas their son; Petronilla their daughter.
