The grant is made with the consent of King Baldwin I, who succeeded his brother Godfrey in regnum Asye, and with the confirmation of Patriarch Daibert.

In return Vgo promises to pay tithes for the casalia to the abbey, which he has been withholding. He and his heirs are promised burial by the abbey. If his line fails the casalia will be restored to the abbey. Cardinal Peter of St Marcellus, the papal legate, informs M. abbas and the convent of the abbey of Mt Tabor that he has granted them the monastery of S. Maria de Costa and that he has put Jordanus prior and Gaufridus, a monk of Mt Tabor, in possession, on condition that the resident Greek monks are not displaced for the time being. [284]
