The lands attached to the casalia have been defined by the viscount with his notarius. The king also gives another casale called Sardanas which is close to [ante] the city of Tyre, except for part of the land between the mountain and the king’s viridarium, which he retains for his own use. He orders Paganus his cancellarius to seal the charter with his lead seal.Witnesses: Milissenda filia regis et regni Ierosolimitani haeres; Hugo Ioppe dominus; Ansellus de Bria; Barianus Iope constabularius; Ioannes camerarius; Hulricus Neapolis vicecomes; Bernardus Vaccarius; Hemelinus vicecancellarius, who wrote the charter. text: Oct. 1 - Dec. 24. Guido de Miliaco made an eleemosynary gift to St Mary of the Valley of Jehoshaphat of half of a casale called Bethomar. This was later confirmed by his sons, dominus Philippus Neapolitanus, dominus Guido Francigena and dominus Henricus Bubalus, and in a sealed confirmation by the king. Now Reginaldus, once prince of Antioch and now Montisregalis et Hebron dominus, with the agreement of his wife Stephania, Hanfredus the son of Stephania and his wife Elisabeth, the daughter of the king of Jerusalem, makes a sealed eleemosynary grant, giving St Mary the other half of the casale, together with its gastina. In return, the abbot and convent of St Mary will delegate an ordained monk to celebrate divine office in the church always and they will ensure that a lamp with sufficient oil will burn day and night before the tomb of the Blessed Virgin Mary and a candle which will be always lit at Mass, Vespers and Matins for the souls of all the aforesaid benefactors.
